How do you read military time?
The first two digits are the hour (00β23) and the last two are the minutes. 0000 is midnight, 1200 is noon, and 1430 is 2:30 PM. After 1259, subtract 12 from the hour for the PM time.

Is midnight 0000 or 2400?
Midnight is normally written 0000 (the start of the day). 2400 is sometimes used for the end of a day, but 0000 is the standard.
